Music4Masks is a movement of musicians and fans to transform unsold merchandise into masks for communities in need during COVID-19.

Statement from Bob Weir & Dave Schools

Togetherness is a human need, and few things meet that need like experiencing live music in community. Sadly, COVID has cancelled most of the tour and live shows we were all looking forward to this summer. So right now, we (Dave and Bob) have a message for all music lovers across the country. We want to get back to playing music for you as soon as possible, and to do that we need  your help. We need you to join us, to join the band, in wearing face masks as recommended by the scientists and doctors of the CDC and our state and local leadership.

Wearing a mask is an act of compassion, and a way to show concern for and protect the most vulnerable amongst us. We’re doing our part to help by donating unsold shirts to Music4Masks to be made into face coverings for underserved folks around the country.

We want to get back on the road playing live, and to do that we need you to play with us, join the band, and wear a mask.

- Bob & Dave

Bands: Donate unsold, deadstock merchandise

We accept t-shirts and sweatshirts in all weights and fabrications in quantities of 50+ pieces. If you are a musician wanting to donate merchandise through Music4Masks, fill out the form to get in touch.

We've created and donated over 20,000 masks!

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, there's been a groundswell of action across the country to create and distribute masks to at-risk communities.

At the same time, supply shortages, dwindling fabric stocks, and a limited retail environment have made it difficult for sewers to access materials they need. We're calling on musicians, festival producers, and fans around the world to repurpose unsold or deadstock merchandise into masks.

Each shirt donated creates 4-6 masks for vulnerable communities.
